In developmentA hybrid settlement design that combines decentralized access with regulated oversight, and puts religious supervision inside consensus rather than alongside it.
The architecture
DeCe is a hybrid Decentralized–Centralized model. It combines the accessibility, transparency and self-custody of decentralized finance with the regulated, risk-managed environment of centralized finance. No leverage is used and risk is shared equally.
The Islamic Federated Byzantine Agreement extends Federated Byzantine Agreement with three additions: Islamic Supervisory Nodes, verified public nodes, and the consensus protocol itself. Supervisory nodes are operated by Islamic scholars.
The chain uses Stellar as its base and operates as a permissioned distributed ledger governed by verified stakeholders.
Comparative figures published in the Lightpaper: settlement in 3–5 seconds, 1,500–3,000 transactions per second, 0.03 Wh and 0.000015 kg CO₂ per transaction.
Design targets published by the project, not an independently measured benchmark. Must be labelled as such.
Compliance built into the network
Every account must be linked to a person or company and pass KYC and AML verification. KYC is mandatory to support Fiqh compliance, transparency and security.
AML and counter-terrorist-financing rules are enforced alongside Islamic finance rules, with monitoring for malicious activity and cooperation with local law enforcement.
Islamic Supervisory Nodes are operated by Islamic scholars and participate directly in consensus, placing religious oversight inside the protocol rather than alongside it.
What has not been verified
The settlement figures are design targets published by the project, not an independently measured benchmark. No implementation has been audited, and no network is running that a third party could measure.
